Yes. It's showing that PICO_SDK_PATH has already been set, and correctly - ignore the direction of slashes because CMake will.

As it's being explicitly set one would not expect the 'if' to be actioned, though it will if you remove the check that it hasn't been set as you proved.

But as it's already set correctly; why do you need the code in the 'if' to execute as it will simply set it to what it already is ?

You seem to be worrying over it not doing something which doesn't need doing, worrying over it behaving exactly how it should.

So again; what actual problem did you encounter which set you off on your adventure ?
