The new card is the solution. I bought the Sandisk 256GB. Thanks for the advice.
I copied some stats. The differences are obvious.
The original card (previously stated incorrectly as a card I had laying around) came with pre-loaded OS, is a Samsung EVO+ 128KB. I'm not aware of doing anything to physically damage the card. I never removed it once I put it in. It came in original wrapping, it didn't appear to be damaged.
