Not if you want a clean logout/login for all users
Which is pretty clearly an "anti-user" policy.

I know that some TOS's specifically disallow any method that you, as a user of the service, might employ that results in any process being left running after you logout.

I wonder if this misfeature was added to systemd at the request of the owners of those services.

I am also wondering if this is a relatively recent addition to systemd, and that I am lucky enough to be running versions old enough so as not to be affected. Hence my inclusion of the word "when" in the thread title.
